Virginity

Last night, while I was flipping the channels, I've noticed that Tyra Banks was on Oxygen. I was surprise to see her on Oxygen, because I knew that the Tyra Banks' show was taken off Oxygen.

The episode was basically about teenagers and virginity.

I didn't watch the whole show. I've only watched like the first 10 minutes. I don't know if it was a rerun or not, but I recall watching an episode about the same things months ago. But, I have caught it in the middle. Maybe, it was the same episode. The same thing happen in the episode. The girls who was having sex wanted to let their mother know.

The first girl on the show was 14 years old. She lost her virginity at 13 years old. That's sad. Her story is sad. She slept with 4 different guys.

She slept with one guy - her first and after he slept with her, the next day, he acted like she didn't exist. He didn't call her or anything. I think they go to the same school, if I am not mistaken.

The young girl slept with another guy and he did the same thing. She didn't exist to him the next day. The girl went on to sleep with a third boy, at a football game, behind a school building. She was only used for that night. He didn't contact her the next day.

This is so sad, because if the three guys goes to school with her that has to be embarrassing. They probably talk about her like dirt, amongst one another.

The fourth guy, she said she'd known for 2 years. They were like best friends. She slept with him more than once. Yet, he dumped her. She told Tyra that he told her that they would never talk, etc. She cried talking about him.

What's even sad about the young girl's story is that she created a my space account and posted sexy pictures of herself to get guys attention. She told Tyra that she loves getting attention from guys.

In my humble opinion, this girl doesn't love herself. I know that a lot of people feel that a lot of girls go out and have sex, because they are looking for a father's love, if there is no father present in her life. I don't know if the girl's father was around or not. As I have said before, I didn't watch the whole show. I've turned the channel, when her mother came out.

A lot of girls have fathers in their lives. Good fathers and they still go out and have sex to fit in.

When are girls going to realize that you don't need a guy's attention to love yourself? I know that some people don't believe in God and some that claims to believe in God don't care what The Bible says about sex. But, having sex before marriage is a sin. God doesn't care how much a woman claims to love a man or a man claims to love a woman. Sex was designed for marriage.

These days, a lot of people thinks it's cool to walk in the "Friends with benefits" shoes. A real friend wouldn't go that low. Diseases are real. It doesn't care if a person wants to play with someone else. It will grab a hold of you and do some damage. It can take you to your grave and don't care.

There is nothing wrong with being a virgin. Some people try to make it seems as if, there is someone seriously wrong with a person if they are still a virgin. Nowadays, if a girl is 13 years old and a virgin, she may be teased about it.

Virginity is a treasure. It's worth a lot and that's why so many people try to collect it from someone. If you are a virgin, no matter what your age is. You can be 50 years old. Be proud! Walk with your head up. Don't be ashamed!

If a man really loves a woman, he would marry her. He would not try to pressure her into having sex with him. Only a man that doesn't love himself, will try to pressure a woman into having sex with him.

I will not leave the woman out. Some women try to pressure men into having sex as well. If a woman really loves a man, she would wait until marriage, before she tries to claim his golden prize.

As for young people If a boy tells a girl he loves her, he would truly mean it with his heart. He wouldn't ask her for sex. The girl wouldn't ask the guy for sex, if she truly loves him. Boys and girls would wait until marriage.

It's easy to find a broken heart. But what about finding a whole, healthy heart?

Love will not send a person from one person to another person. True love will stop at one person.

I Was Called A Nerd

Tuesday at work, a coworker of mine, called me a nerd, because I wouldn't do something that she wanted me to do. I've told her thank you and that she has just given me a compliment.

Friend

Friend is a powerful word. The Bible states: Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly : and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

True friendship will never die. It will be there, until death do you part.

It's sad, these days so many people are calling people their friend, when in honesty that person is not their friend. Why am I saying that? It's because, as soon as a disagreement visit them - the friendship is over.

A true friendship will never be separated. Why? Because true friendship is very strong. It can't be broken.

A true friendship doesn't know the following:

1. What betrayal is

2. What is like to back your bags and leave

3. Revenge

4. Pig Blood: If you have watched the movie Carrie with Sissy Spacek, you would know what I am talking about with, when I say Pig Blood. Well, at least you will know that pig blood was poured on Carrie at her prom. Let me explain, why I have added pig blood to my list. If a person is someone's true friend, they wouldn't try to dishonor "their friend's good name."

5. Lying

But, True Friendship knows the following:

1. Unconditional love

2. A disagreement: No one agrees always. Not even husband and wife. Should a disagreement stop people from talking? The answer should be no, but some people believe it should. A true friend would never walk in those shoes. He or she would embrace a disagreement and go on living life, along with their friend.

3. Loyalty

4. Protection

5. Honesty

Again, friend is a powerful word. It can even wear the title, "best". I would never say someone is my BFF (Best Friend For Life), if I know that I hate "friend."

I wouldn't want anyone calling me their BFF, unless they truly know what a BFF really means and if they are truly going to wear the BFF shoes.

Friend = Truth.

Always be true.

Writing

Writing can be fun and relaxing and very challenging.

Writing is not easy and in my humble opinion, it's not suppose to be. Writing is my talent and I truly have a lot to learn about writing. I'm a firm believer in that no matter if you have a talent, it doesn't mean that you can't be taught. A person's talent goes beyond the basic stuff he or she already knows. There are levels to a talent. If a person stops at what they know, then they will not fully embrace the talent.

I strongly believe that a writer should always have access to the following: Belief in themselves, a dictionary, thesaurus 0r combination of both, and writing material. I tend to write a lot in my head. I have always done that.

I'm not an excellent writer. I am my own worst critic.

Does my writing tend to have errors in them? Yes. Sometimes, I can go back and read something that I have written and notice the typos or wrong word usages. I correct them of course.

If I was to read an author's book. Would I find errors, such as typos? There's a chance that I would. But, as a writer, I know that typos can occur, unaware. I know that when I am typing, I can feel when I make a mistake and I have to go back and fix the error, but that doesn't mean that a typo or two haven't escape me.

Some people, when they read a book, they want perfection. Do people realize that books don't follow grammar rules. If they did, no book would have fragment sentences. No books would have sentences that starts with And. Even punctuations would be used at all times.

Even poets don't follow grammar rules.

I'm a poet as well as a storyteller and I definitely don't follow grammar rules to a tee.

Criticizing is easy to do, but learning something about writing, should be easier.

Shout Out To: Stretching Your Dollar

In the times that we are in today, we need to stretch our money. Correction. Everyone that have connected with money, should have been a wise shopper. Wise shopping should never be obsolete.

There is nothing wrong with treating yourself to a want, every once in a while, but a need always should come first.

Thank goodness for coupons. The amount of money you can save with a coupon, can add money to your pocket. Some grocery stores will double or triple coupons on certain days or even every day. It depends on the amount.

I love when things are on sale and especially, when it's a real bargain. Some sales aren't bargains.

I believe that parents should rack up on school supplies, when they are dirt cheap.. I know that Walmart use to have sales for back to school, where 70 ct tablets were 10 cents each, 100 pack of loose leaf paper 2/$1.00, 24 box crayons 25 cents. Etc.

I truly believe that a parent, if they have the money - they should buy at least two years worth of school supplies, if they are very cheap at Walmart or any other store, because since everything is going up, stores may not be having those kind of sales anymore. "Today" might be the last time, parents get a very good bargain like this. Especially, if they have more than one child in school.

I know that some people don't believe in going to a garage sale or have never been to a garage sale. Trust me - a pro garage sale person. I know for a fact that a person can find great bargains at a garage sale. Sometimes, you may watch a show on TV or even go to a person house that have some good stuff in their house and little do you know, they have gotten the items at a garage sale. There's a saying, "One man's junk is another man's treasure."

Paint, screws, or even replacements can make another man's junk, look golden in the treasure hunter's home.

Everyone should be shopping with coupons. Well, at least the people that aren't rich. Prices of things are going up and if you notice, the size is getting smaller. You aren't getting much for your dollar these days.

Only use what you can and not waste. Eat left overs. Instead of buying lunch every day, cook. If you can't cook. Then buy TV dinners. Many of them taste good. Banquet makes some delicious TV dinners. Instead of buying those chicken nuggets at McDonalds, treat yourself to Tyson's chicken nuggets from your local grocery store. They are very good. At least to me they are.

Okay, I will shut up now. Lets make our wallets smile.
